What a perfect day of climbing at one of my favorite cliffs in the Whites! We were the only climbers there all day which is very rare this time of year.
Mark, Alex, Sebastion, Niko… you guys were a fun group to climb with. Maybe we’ll see you guys again for a multi-pitch day on Cathedral or Whitehorse! Thanks again!
Camp Dudley was on the road again, while driving around the Northeast pursuing an adventurous summer they came back to visit us for a 2nd time this year. Only took the two photos because right after the 2nd photo it started to downpour. We were able to all rappel and then re-located to Cathedral Ledge for some drier climbing!
Glad we were able to salvage the rest of the day back in the valley! Can’t wait to see you guys next time for a multi-pitch climb up Whitehorse!
6 years in a row these guys have climbed with Conrad and I! Every year we have a blast and this year was no different! A couple days of cragging and they were ready to take on Whitehorse Ledge, their tallest cliff to date!
This winter may be the first chance the Koury’s can try ice climbing, and I’m really looking forward to that! Thank you guys for climbing for so long with us. Here’s to many more years of climbing ahead!
After a couple weeks of having mis-placed my camera during a move I am back with some photos. Camp Cedar came by and we went off to Lost Horizon off Passaconaway Rd. These kids climbed like monkeys!

It may seem like I go to Square Ledge alot. There’s a reason for that… that place is awesome! Amazing view, great rock climbs with a variety of difficulties (but a lot of good beginner terrain), and it is typically 5-10 degrees cooler than down in the valley. That played a big part this past week as temperatures were in the high 90’s and humid!

For the fourth year in a row I have had the pleasure of taking these summer volunteers out for a day of fun on the crags around Mount Washington. This year we headed up to Square Ledge for some fun rappelling and top-roping on a variety of climbs.

Well as you can see I fell far behind on keeping my blog current. Getting married, going on a honeymoon, and buying a house will do that to you! The summer guiding season has finally kicked off but first a few pics from an excellent two-day staff training we had in the Gunks.
This get together had over 30 guides from all the satellite locations of the EMS Climbing School. As far as I know it was the first of its kind and I am really looking forward to it becoming an annual event.
Blue skies and rccord warm temps on the summit (59 degrees) led to a spectatulor day on Mt. Washington. We climbed the Lobster Claw Gully in Tuckerman Ravine and were able to glissade back down the same route, while over 2500 people enjoyed skiing in the Ravine!
An EMS employee and her friend came up from CT for an introduction to back-county skiing (and riding). We skinned and hiked up the COG railway on the western side of Mt. Washington and were treated to some nice views and great turns. Enjoy the pics;
